MVR State Access Fees
Each MVR report costs a flat $5.00 PreSearch service fee plus a state-imposed access fee that varies by state. State access fees are set by each state's DMV and are passed through at cost with no markup. Prices shown are current as of January 2026 and are updated as states adjust their fee schedules.

Some states offer multiple record types (3-year, 5-year, 7-year, entire record, commercial). Where options exist, the appropriate record type is selected based on the requirements defined in your compliance configuration. Record types noted as "overnight" have a longer turnaround, typically returned by the next business day rather than instantly.
MVR Checks That Don't Stop at the First Pull
Most screening providers treat an MVR as a one-time transaction. You order it, you get the report, and that's it. If you need another one in six months or a year, you have to remember to order it again.
PreSearch handles MVR checks as part of your ongoing compliance requirements. When you add driving record checks to a position's compliance rules, the system tracks when each person's MVR was last pulled and when the next one is due. When a renewal comes up, PreSearch handles it. No manual reordering, no tracking expiration dates in a spreadsheet, no people falling through the cracks.
Set the schedule once
Define how often MVR checks should be renewed for each position: every 6 months, annually, whatever your policy requires. The system applies that schedule to every person in that role automatically.
Automatic renewals
When an MVR check is due for renewal, PreSearch initiates the reorder. If additional information or consent is needed, a task is created for the right person. Nothing requires you to remember or manually trigger it.
Always know where you stand
Your compliance dashboard shows which drivers are current, which have renewals coming up, and which need attention. One view across your entire organization.
